Admissions at IISERs
Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) at Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram have notified the admissions to their 5 year BS-MS Dual Degree Programmes for 2011-12, with major in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. IISER Kolkata offers major in Earth Sciences also. Admissions to IISERs are offered through three different channels or streams. The first stream is the ‘KVPY’.

Those selected under the ‘Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana’ (KVPY), a Programme of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to encourage students of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine to take up research careers in these areas, can apply through the KVPY stream.
