Applications on prescribed forms are invited from the candidates desirous to seek admission to the Four years Bachelor Degree course in Visual art (B.V.A) and Music (B.Mus.) in the following disciplines, for the session 2011-12 in the Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Under Jammu University.

B.V.A.
1. Painting
2. Sculpture
3. Applied Art
4. Art History & Aesthetics

B. Mus.
1. Vocal
2. Sitar
3. Violin
4. Tabla
5. Dance (Kathak)

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION PROCEDURE
Admission to B.V.A and B.Mus. shall be open to those candidates who have passed Hr.Sec.part-II Examination (under 10+2 pattern) of the J&K Board of School Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with not less than 50% marks for B.V.A and 45% for B.Mus.(45% & 40% respectively in case of SC/ST & other categories under reservation rules)

A candidate seeking admission to above mentioned courses shall have to appear in the Aptitude test/ written test. Final selection shall be made by the Admission Committee constituted for the purpose. For purpose of admission equal weightage shall be given to the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the 10+2 examinations and his/her performance in the Aptitude Test/Written Test. Last date for submission of admission form (Completed in all aspects) 15-07-2011.
