Humanities and Social Sciences Examination for 2012 (HSEE-2012)

Indian Institute of Technology Madras has invited applications for the Humanities and Social Sciences Examination for 2012 (HSEE-2012) for admission to the Integrated Masters Degree Programme leading to M.A Degree in Development Studies and English Studies.Admission to the Programme is solely based on the merit in the Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE).

Seats: The programme has a total of 46 seats with each discipline having 23 seats. Allocations of seats to individual disciplines will be made based on the academic performance of students (CGPA) during the first three semesters, students' preferences, and availability of seats under each discipline.

Examination Date and Centre: The examination will be held between 10 am and 1 pm on May 6, 2012 (Sunday), at Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Madurai, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Thiruvananthapuram. If sufficient number of candidates is not available at any of the cities listed, the same may be dropped, and the candidates will be allocated to a centre in any of the other cities.
