Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Salem/ Varanasi Chowkaghat, Varanasi-221002, Uttar Pradesh, Tel 0542-2203833 Diploma, Post Diploma in Handloom Technology Admissions 2011-2012 Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Salem & Varanasi have invited applications for admission to Post Diploma/ Diploma courses in Handloom Technology of Academic Year 2011-12. Eligibility (Diploma) - A pass in SSC with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and English/ Matriculation with Maths and Science/General SSC/SSLC 10-year school with eligibility for admission to plus two/higher secondary course of study/intermediate course with 60% marks in qualifications recognised as equivalent to the above. Wherever these are elective or optional, should be Science and Mathematics or Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks in Science and Maths with English as a subject of study in Matriculation in the qualifying examination. However 10% relaxation is granted in case of SC/ST candidates. Eligibility (Post Diploma) - Degree or diploma (three years) in Textiles/Handloom Technology/ Textile Chemistry/ Home Science with Textile and Clothing/Fibre Science/ Man Made Fibre Technology/ Man Made Fibre Manufacturing/ B.Sc Chemistry (major) with 55% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in Textile Chemistry/ subjects related to Textile Chemistry. In case of B.Sc 55% marks in aggregate and 50 marks in Chemistry where Chemistry is one of the subjects in all three years of the course Age - 15 to 21 years (for SC/ST candidates 15 to 23 years as on July 1, 2011). Last date for submission of application is 10-06-2011.
